Kate Tempest

Kate Tempest will be scratching her new theatre show, Brand New Ancients, which explores notions of how an everyday person can be heroic, telling the story of two families as they intertwine against an epic backdrop of mythology and the city. Kate will be speaking the words and collaborating with classical musicians to tell this story.

Kate is a prolific performance poet and rapper. She was commissioned earlier this year by Paines Plough to write her first play WASTED, which premiered at latitude festival. She is also making her mark in the UK hip-hop scene with her band Sound of Rum.

Be the first to see what will be a major BAC co-production in Autumn 2012.

Scratch allows artists to test ideas and get audience feedback. Come explore and be the first to discover the future of theatre.
