The Refugee Council is honoured to be screening 'Nicky's Family,' a moving docu-drama about Nicholas Winton who organised the Czech Kindertransport, saving 669, mostly Jewish children from the path of the Nazis in 1939. The film is not yet out for general release and this is therefore a unique opportunity to see it.

The screening is one of a number of events we are holding to mark the 18th Birthday of the Refugee Council Children's Section and to raise awareness about its work. The Children’s Section works with around 1500 children separated from their families, often fleeing violent conflict or persecution, who arrive alone in the UK each year.

This event will include guest speakers and we hope a member of the Winton family will attend. The ticket includes a drinks reception before and after and there will be canapes provided. There will be an appeal on the night with proceeds going to support the work of the Refugee Council Children's Section.

We hope you will choose to attend this worthwhile event.
