World Book Night is a celebration of books, that will see a million books being given away across the UK and Ireland in one evening!

Join us for a night of free book giving, readings,live music and comedy and special guest Iain Sinclair at 7.30pm

And you’ll also have a special opportunity to view copies of our Silent Scribble auction lots from wonderful authors like Alan Bennett, Quentin Blake and Joanna Trollope. Including a chance to bid for your favourites!

Our World Book Night will offer something for everyone – come along on the night from 4 pm.

During our World Book Night celebrations at Canada Water Library, Iain Sinclair will be talking about his latest book “Ghost Milk: Calling Time on the Grand Project”. In the book the author sets out his controversial views on the London Olympic legacy.

Iain Sinclair is the acclaimed author of “Hackney that Rose-Red Empire”, “London Orbital” and “Downriver” (winner of the James Tait Black Memorial Prize and the Encore Award), to name just a few. He lives in Hackney, East London.
