Community is a warm word loved by politicians, but can the programmes of the Big Society increase happiness and well-being at an individual and community level? We will explore these issues in relation to recent research focussing on the relationship between happiness, wealth and inequality. Suitable to anyone interested in the subject, especially community practitioners, activists and volunteers.

To celebrate Adult Learners’ Week 12th -18th May, Birkbeck are hosting a series of free information, advice & guidance sessions together with debates, performances, workshops and lectures at Cambridge House in Camberwell. Come for the whole day or just drop in.
