Citroën & Chef Tim Anderson (BBC MasterChef winner 2011) are opening a unique pop-up restaurant in London with a five course tasting menu inspired by the five senses.

The meal at the restaurant, called Delicious by DS5, will cost patrons just £5 per head with the proceeds going to FareShare, a charity that fights hunger efficiently by rescuing and redistributing surplus food. Each ticket sold will enable FareShare to deliver 20 meals to the people they support.

FareShare was recently ranked one of the top 100 NGOs by the Global Journal. Delicious by DS5 will open to members of the public from Wednesday 16 to Saturday 20 May, 2012.

Food fans can apply for a table through a dedicated tab on Citroën UK's official Facebook page - www.facebook.com/CitroenUK - where they can select their preferred date, service and number of attendees (up to six per table).

With high demand anticipated, tables will be allocated on a ballot basis, with successful applicants being notified by email or phone between 7 and 9 May. Reservations will then be confirmed once a £5-a-head donation is made to FareShare through a dedicated Just Giving page. Additional details can be found on Citroën UK's official Facebook page.

Chef Tim Anderson said; "This project has really allowed me to stretch my creativity and try some exciting new gastronomic techniques. With each course I'm focusing on just one of the senses - sight, sound, taste etc. - so we're using some really innovative approaches to create a dining experience that will surprise and delight on a multi-sensory level. The best part is that we're bringing this menu to the public for just five pounds and benefitting a really great charity at the same time."

Tahel Bar El, from FareShare, added; "Food poverty in the UK is a growing problem and surplus food going to landfill is an inexcusable waste. With this support from Citroën and Tim Anderson - reaching out to the public through their appetite for great food - we can highlight the importance of efficiency in the food industry and how it can help FareShare support more communities across the country."
