Notting Hill Mayfest 2012 is a celebration of springtime and the arts.
This is a very special year for Britain, with the arrival of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the long-awaited Olympic Games, and it happens to be Mayfest’s 10th birthday as well.

We present two weeks of events inspired by the best of Britain, with a fine selection of emerging British talent.

Whether you fancy a fiery fusion of folk from the Heart of England, or song settings of Shakespeare’s sonnets, or a fun family day at the fair, Mayfest has something for everyone to enjoy. Don’t miss out on our larger events:
• an evening with the delightful Bonfire Radicals (18th May);
• our Jazz Fiesta, two nights in one - Matt Gough’s reflective jazz in the first set, transforming swiftly into a hot salsa night in the second (26th May);
• the grand orchestral finale, featuring award-winning Resident pianist Pavel Timofejevsky and I Maestri Orchestra in a Proms-style concert of British favourites (27th May).

Among the many other fantastic events in this year’s Festival is the much loved May Fair, the heart of the Festival (26th May) and our special Mayfest Fine Art Exhibition, which showcases local artistic talent in the Sacred Space Gallery (from 15th May).

Notting Hill Mayfest is based in St John’s Church, a lovely nineteenth century building just north of Holland Park, in the stunning Lansdowne Crescent.
Please note that some concerts take place in nearby St Peter’s Church (W11 2PN).

The Festival supports St John’s work in the community, Christian Aid, and St John’s ‘Restoring the Future’ campaign, which includes the renovation of the historic church organ.
St John’s Church is a registered charity (Charity no.: 1131808).
