During the day visitors to WWT London Wetland Centre are used to seeing the reserve alive with birds, dragonflies, frogs and butterflies. But when the people go home the animals don’t leave too.

For children aged 7+, this is an exciting evening in the wild, exploring the animals and elements. Learn how to make a fire and enjoy an evening of storytelling around the flames. You’ll also visit the Pond Zone for twilight pond dipping, using nets and an underwater camera, to see what mini-beasts are lurking beneath the surface at dusk. Then swap pond life for aerial acrobatics with a bat walk. Seven species of bat are found at London Wetland Centre: with our bat detectors you can hear these amazing flying mammals ‘chattering’.

Spaces are limited to 15 children per event and the event is suitable for children aged 7 or over. Each family group must be accompanied by one adult.
