A panel debate with Carlene Firmin MBE (Founder of Girls Against Gangs), Peter Kellner (Chairman YouGov), Ian Birrell (current Contributing Editor, Daily Mail, and formerly Deputy Editor of the Independent and speechwriter to David Cameron) and Danielle Grufferty, Vice-President NUS. This event will be chaired by Sunder Katwala, Director of British Future.
This event is brought to you by the London Borough of Newham and the new think-tank, British Future. Come along to an interactive debate where the panel and the audience get to ask: what are the challenges ahead for Generation 2012 so they don't become the "lost generation"? In this session we will ask 18-25s in the audience what is the one thing they think the government needs to put at the top of its priority list, and discuss whether this generation thinks that their lives will be substantially different from their parents, and if so how.
The Ideas Olympiad is a free series of events, sponsored by the London Borough of Newham, which will bring high profile and interesting speakers to the borough throughout the summer to talk to residents about their ideas and vision.
