Handmade in Britain announces and invites you to the Handmade in Britain 2012 event at Chelsea Old Town Hall from 16-18 November

In November, Handmade in Britain will return to one of their favourite venues for the 6th year at Chelsea Old Town Hall. The show will kick off the Christmas season with more than 90 designer makers from a range of disciplines showcasing their handcrafted products available for purchase or
to commission.

Now on its sixth year, Handmade in Britain is pleased to return for their annual Christmas showcase with some of the talented and most innovative artists in contemporary design. This year, the show runs from Fri – Sun 16 – 18th November 2012 (Private View Evening 15th Nov 2012)

Handmade in Britain has created a show where buyers and exhibitors alike are sure to be inspired by quality, originality, and Eco conscious ethos behind the works for sale. This is an excellent marriage of venue and content, a retail experience not to be missed! This event will feature designers from various disciplines such as; Fashion design & accessories, Interiors, textiles, glass, jewellery, furniture, paper, metalwork, ceramics, sculpture and furniture. These objects are not mass- produced, but personally crafted by the designer him or herself. The products they create are a result of their inspirations, influences and experiences. Each piece is handmade and reflects the interplay between designer and material to create a unique product of the highest quality.

Handmade in Britain is the brain child of designer-maker Piyush Suri and is an initiative to maintain the high standards in the British Craft sector. Handmade in Britain strives to create market opportunities for buying craft and provide a platform to designer-makers to reach new markets both in UK and internationally. Handmade in Britain also supports new designer-makers by offering partsponsorships and supports them through training workshops preparing them for the show.
