Flush from their busy international summer festival schedule, which sees them play twice during the renowned Glade Festival, UK electronic dance pioneers, System 7, light up London this Autumn with a full on Live & DJ show at Islington’s illustrious Garage venue, joined by ambient electronic guest, Banco de Gaia playing a rare live set.

A welcome return to their home city after their September tour of Japan, System 7 will also be premiering their new “Passion” EP on Thursday October 4th at The Garage in Islington. For this very special event, System 7 are joined by old friend and ambient electronica star, Banco de Gaia (Live), Aliji (resident DJ at inSpiral), and Italian tech-house DJ Josko, who is an important part of their Berlin UP party crew. And if their last now legendary ‘UP’ album launch party at Ginglik last summer and several storming sets at the 2011’s Glastonbury Festival are anything to go by, System 7 will be taking the roof off with their high octane Live set and energetic and loyal following. With this in mind, early booking is advised for this unique one off System 7 London event.

System 7 are Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy, who are currently working on a new album as well as a live collaborative project, Phoenix Rising, with Japanese band, Rovo, morphing between techno and live band interpretations. And with a Phoenix Rising, album and live dates in the planning stages for 2013, S7 have never been busier.

Having recently remixed Japanese techno star A.Mochi, and collaborated with Armin Van Buuren on his new album, S7 continue to be in huge demand on the International festival circuit, having already headlined the Star Festival in Odaiba, Tokyo and the Electrochoc Festival in Lyon, France, earlier this year.

Following on from their much acclaimed upbeat 2011 album, “Up”, which signalled another strident direction in S7’s ever-changing soundscape, System 7 have enjoyed regular exposure to the contemporary Berlin scene and a musical association with new resident, A Guy Called Gerald. S7 were in Berlin for the May 1st festivities, seeing both Richie Hawtin and Ricardo Villalobos playing at the opening parties at Club Der Visionaere, as well as hosting their own second UP party at the What You See Is What You Get club in Friedrichshain.

Up’s standout tracks, “PositiveNoise” (their impressive single remixed by Carl Craig) and “I Seem To Be a Verb” were the culmination of S7 joining forces with acid house original, A Guy Called Gerald. The duo also delivered a Remix of Josh Wink’s ambient gem, “Dolphin Smack”, all fully approved by Wink.
