Will Butterworth Trio

Will Butterworth - Piano, Henrik Jensen - Bass, Pete Ibbetson - Drums

Will Butterworth was born in Edinburgh in 1977. His father is a classical violinist and Will grew up playing classical music on the cello and improvising on the piano. In 1999 he began to play jazz professionally in Scotland, and in 2004 he moved to London. Will has worked with many of Britain's finest musicians, and has released two albums as leader (music chamber records). He is also one half of the 'Dylan Howe/Will Butterworth' duo, which has achieved great critical acclaim.

Henrik Jensen is one of the many world class jazz musicians to come out of Denmark. He plays in the international 'North Trio' leads his own band 'followed by 13' and is about to release a duo record with saxophonist Peter Ehwald.

Pete Ibbetson is an exceptionally talented young drummer, and composer. He is a member of the 'Map Trio' and leads his own band 'The Pete Ibbetson Group' He has been described by Selwyn Harris of Jazzwise as a “brilliant young drummer for the future”.
