Local Music. Global Impact.

Four up and coming local artists are all coming together under one roof to share their passion for music in order to raise money for an amazing cause. For one night only they will be playing at the Ginglik in Shepherd’s Bush, London on the 25th of October 2012. Oxjam is Oxfam’s month-long music festival that runs throughout October with hundreds of events around the UK all in aid of Oxfam.

Since the first Oxjam in 2006, more than 40,000 musicians have played to over 800,000 people at around 3,000 Oxjam events nationwide. Oxjam has raised more than £1.5 million in total for Oxfam: enough to buy 13,000 emergency shelters, 60,000 goats or 900 classrooms.

You could be a part of this just by buying a ticket for only £5 and coming down to the Ginglik and enjoying a night of live music with all profits going to Oxfam.

LINE-UP:

THE DOLL MECHANICS
The Doll Mechanics came to life in 2011 and became the muse of singer/songwriter Lauren James.
Lauren ' Doll' James uses both her innovative music and accomplished musicians to create her artistic vision; keeping the mechanisms of the doll alive.

RICHARD ALLAN II
Cambridge-born Richard Allan II is a crafter of big, bold and beautiful melodies that will surely stir the soul of anyone that has known the highs and lows of life. Blessed with a voice reminiscent of the great Jeff Buckley, his songs are savage realisations of a world unexpected. This is music at its purest and most honest; a true celebration of man's bittersweet journey.

Richard is set to enter the studio later this year to record his first album.

ERODING REPUBLIC
Having been together for almost a year now these west-country boys take their inspiration from bands like Foo Fighters, Nickelback, Nirvana, Paramore, Green Day, Rise Against and Sum 41. Having appeared in many of their local pubs and clubs and even getting live radio play this summer, Eroding Republic are excited to step up to the Ginglik for their first gig in the capital.

ALLY HAMILTON
Ally Hamilton has been playing music since he was 13, having written and performed with many alternative rock bands. He has recently ventured off on his own to start recording and writing new solo material. Taking influence from the likes of Queens of the Stone Age and The Foo Fighters you can definitely expect great sounds from Ally.

You can make a difference. This is the sound of something happening. See you there!
