Pan-Indian restaurant and lounge, Carom is hosting an exclusive Rice Masterclass at their monthly Curry Club on Wednesday 26th September. Guests will learn everything there is to know about the renowned Green Saffron AAA Grade Vintage Rice before being taught how to create Carom’s authentic Biryani dish. Grown in the foothills of the Himalayas, Green Saffron rice has legendary status in Indian cooking and is produced to the highest standard in the world.

After a behind-the-scenes tour of the restaurant kitchen with Executive Chef Balaji Balachander, guests will enjoy a cocktail whilst watching a culinary demonstration, showing them how to perfect that Indian classic, the Biryani.

Green Saffron’s Founder, chef and Spice Specialist, Arun Kapil will then explain what makes their rice so sensational. Guests will learn how the rice goes from paddy to plate, discovering its journey from the Himalayas, in the Haryana region, and learning the unique ageing process that gives each grain such fantastic flavour.
Green Saffron produces the highest grade of rice available in the UK, rated at 100% Basmati and certified by APEDA, the Indian government.

After the demonstration, attendees will be seated for a gourmet three-course meal featuring the Chicken Biryani with a beer along with naan, poppadoms and a side dish - all for just £35 per person.
