“It should be made law that every British Citizen should see Jeff Innocent. He’s that funny.” Evening Standard

The hugely popular stand up comedian, actor, writer and cultural commentator will host ‘COMEDY FOR GROWN UPS’ with guest comedians, quizzes, games, and audience interaction. It will be more than just another night of stand-up and you might even have the chance to win a Parker Pen! Talking about the shows Innocent commented “If you’re tired of big-haired comedians in skinny jeans who are young enough to be your children or even grandchildren telling you about life ‘COMEDY FOR GROWN UPS’ is a night designed to redress that imbalance. “

“The body of a nightclub bouncer and the brain of a University Boffin” The Guardian

Jeff’s many television and film credits as a comedian, actor and presenter include Edinburgh Nights, Call The Midwife, Later with Jools Holland, Comedy Store Live, The Stand Up Show, Time Gentleman Please,Real Eastenders, Little Howard’s Big Question, and Mean Machine alongside Vinnie Jones. A prolific writer, Jeff has written for The Independent and The Scotsman and contributed to the book Sit Down Comedy.

“His seamless tales have the tang of real life – Red in tooth and claw” The Mirror

Growing up in London’s East End Jeff is the son of a real life villain and could have chosen a career in the family firm. Instead he worked in the 70s in London’s fashionable Kings Road and Carnaby Street as a window dresser for a chain of boutiques and at night moonlighted as a DJ popularizing Jamaican music. By the 80s the retail industry had lost its charm and Jeff enrolled at university for a BA in Cultural Studies and stayed on to complete an MA in History and Philosphy before finally answering his true calling 16 years ago to become a stand up comedian.
