In this musical celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee the City Chamber Choir, under their conductor Stephen Jones, will sing A garland for the Queen, a set of songs written in 1953 to mark the Queen's coronation by ten of the leading composers of the day including Vaughan Williams, Tippett, Bax, Bliss and Howells. The concert includes other music associated with royal occasions, including works written for the marriage ofthe Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Britten's much-loved Flower songs.
