Singer songwriter Tally Koren, a London Fringe Award Winner runs this "poetry competition event" as part of the campaign for her new single “Calling You”. £5 entry.

Tally Koren's debut single “Beauty of the Duty” started as a long poem that was sent to her on My Space and ended up with airtime on the BBC Radio 2 playlist and 40 other UK radio stations.

CALLING YOU will be hosted by poet and performer Ernesto Sarezale, the winner of Tally’s “72 Word Poem” competition last year. Ernesto is also the promoter of our very own literary soirée VELVET TONGUE.

COMPETITION GUIDELINES:

Please write a poem with anything to do with the subjects of:

* finding love
* finding your guardian angel

Submit one poem for entry by midnight on the 07.10.12 to [email protected].
If you are one of the ten finalists, you will receive a confirmation and invitation to read at the special event on the 9th of October.

PROGRAM :

* The 10 final poets will be invited to read the poems at the first part of the evening.
* Ernesto Sarezale will read some of his poems including his piece ‘72 Words’, which won Tally's competition last year
* Tally Koren will sing a few songs and the world premier of the song she composed to Ernesto's ‘72 Words’
* The winner will be announced at the event and will be posted on all of Tally’s social media sites

PRIZES:
First Prize - Tally will compose a melody to the poem and create a song with the outlook of further use for her in her career.
Second Prize - will receive an invitation for 2 for Tally’s forthcoming big performance. (The invitation for two applies only to the tickets and not for traveling but if the winner is from abroad Tally will send the winner a signed cd instead).
Third Prize - will receive an exclusive signed copy of the ‘Hallelujah (72 Names)’ Album.
