New variety show combines live music, dance, burlesque & glamour

Iconic late-night West End venue Floridita launches Shaken & Stirred on Wednesday 3rd October from 8pm: a sensational cocktail of live music, dance, burlesque and performance.

Shaken & Stirred is brought to Floridita by Zak Black, CEO and Producer of Verve Couture Bespoke Entertainment, who will headline the show with his heart warming ballads, and ‘up-beat’, high-octane performances, complemented with world class burlesque, dance and magic.

With a flawless history of achieving only five star reviews in his eight years of producing live entertainment, Zak Black’s new show at world-famous live music venue Floridita, is set to reach stratospheric heights and be a toast of the fringe.

Zak will be joined by a host of some of the West End’s most talented performers, including the extraordinary singer and all-round entertainer Frances Leak from the musical, Footloose.

The incredible songstress and burlesque performer, Laura Nadia Hunt, whose 1940’s glamour, exquisite costumes and sparkling luminosity will shake and stir all who see her.

Opera Diva, Allison Langer is a fantastic vocalist who will wow the audience with her big voice, big ball gowns and big hair!

The show aims to showcase the glamour of the grand Floridita venue at 100 Wardour Street, which is built on the historic site of the legendary Marquee Club in Soho, known as one of the most important venues for UK music and performance for over four decades.

Performances will not be restricted to the stage but will roam the extensive venue, with spotlights and roving acts between guests’ tables, as well as dramatic entrances using the grand sweeping staircase, which has long been Floridita’s show-stopping architecture.

Zak has a large celebrity following and has performed for many leading stars, including Julia Roberts (‘…cute as a button, this boy will go far’), Graham Norton (‘You can't help but fall in love with Zak Black once you've heard him sing’), Simon Cowell (‘…extremely happy at the song he wrote for my only god-daughter’) and Mary J Blige (‘Zak Black - great performing artist and great at the celebrity hook up’), to name just a few.

Guests can enjoy a delicious meal from the Floridita kitchen showcasing modern Latin American and Cuban cuisine while they watch the show. Choose from a decadent three course meal at £24.00, which includes Floridita’s legendary mojito cocktail, or a two course meal at £19.50. The menu designed by Executive Chef Richard Sawyer, includes dishes such as Gazpacho Adalucia, organic Skewered Chicken “Churrasco” and Bourbon Vanilla Cheesecake with Ginger Cookies & White Chocolate.

Alternatively, guests can watch the show from the bar area, enjoying Floridita’s expertly crafted cocktails and delicious menu of gourmet bar snacks.
