Nights of Noir

This November, MGM HD, The Old Vic Tunnels and Time Out Live are proud to present Nights of Noir. This introduction to Film Noir will feature some of Hollywood's most stylish and influential crime movies. The Old Vic Tunnels will be transformed to evoke the atmospherics and locations of film noir classics, show shadowy alleyways to dimly lit bars. Audiences will encounter actors who will recreate the key roles of this genre - the cynical private eye, the shady criminal, the glamorous femme fatale - and pay homage to the crackling one-liners of noir scripts.

The Old Nights of Noir combines 3 nights of screenings with a pre-show theatrical experience and post-show Q&A’s with Time Out’s Film critic, Dave Calhoun (9-11 November), followed by 7 nights of film noir classics (12-18 November) on MGM HD, Sky Channel 313.

Developed in conjunction with film specialists elevenfiftyfive, MGM HD’s Nights of Noir combines real world events with on air programming to deliver film fans an exciting introduction to one of Hollywood’s most important genres.
