It’s a cold and frosty Christmas Eve in 1857 and at Gads Hill Place, the home of Charles Dickens, the family decide to celebrate the festive season by reading ‘A Christmas Carol’ around their beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Join them for what promises to be a perfect seasonal treat in Adrian Drew’s new adaptation of the classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge and his ghostly visitors, at one of London’s most intimate and beautiful venues – the painted Orangery at The Fan Museum in historic Greenwich.

Drew, whose previous shows at the Museum include Voices, A Wilde Affair, All Hallows and Ellen, has produced a traditional, full length version of Dickens’ story, which is rich in atmosphere & period detail. As it does, however, also contain the darker elements of the original tale, the reading is only suitable for mature audiences of 16 years and older.

Tickets include a private view of the Museum’s current exhibition as well as interval refreshments. What more perfect start to the Festive Season could you imagine?
