The SERUM ELECTRONIQUE ORCHESTRA combines live instrumentation with loops and electronics to create an immersive industrial/classical hybrid soundtrack to the most influential science-fiction film of all time: Fritz Lang's METROPOLIS.

Now fully restored with missing footage you can see the film in all its glory in the amazing surroundings of the newly renovated Woolwich Grand Theatre on their magnificent 16 x 36 ft screen.

***** BACKGROUND *****

Fritz Lang's seminal 1927 science fiction masterwork 'Metropolis' was the most expensive silent film ever made. Heavily edited for American and international audiences, it was long thought that all original uncut prints had been lost forever. However in 2008 a 16 mm reduction negative of the original premiere cut of the film, including almost all the lost scenes, was discovered in Argentina. Following extensive restoration the film was re-premiered in February 2010.
