Did you know that toothbrushes used to be made with Siberian hog hair? Or that ancient Egyptians used tortoise blood to prevent toothaches?
Grab a giant toothbrush and get brushing in this hands-on exhibition exploring the fascinating world inside our mouths. Keeping Britain Smiling is a free exhibition for young people designed to engage and entertain, whilst providing mind boggling facts about the fascinating world of your mouth.
The exhibition explores the anatomy of the mouth, how we use it and how to take care of teeth and gums to maintain a bright and healthy smile. You can also discover the surprising history of dentistry and dental hygiene and explore some of the exciting innovations under investigation for the future.
The exhibition is part of Colgate’s Keeping Britain Smiling campaign. With the current rise of tooth decay amongst children in the UK, Colgate hopes the exhibition will inspire young people to start taking better care of their teeth, developing habits that they will take with them and maintain throughout adult life.
The exhibition offers a fun and educational experience for school classes and the whole family.
