Dressmaking Skills

5 week introductory course to teach you the basics of dressmaking! Little Hands Design will show you everything you need to start your own new hobby and give you the guidance and confidence that you need to sew on your own. From threading the machine and winding the bobbin, to inserting a zip and doing professional finishes, we will cover all basics.

You will Learn:
To thread the sewing machine
Learn to sew straight and curved lines
Basic alterations such as hemming
To repair holes and rips
To insert darts
To replace fastening

We will provide you with the fabric to practice on and all the tools you need.

The Course costs, £100, and after you have completed this course you will have the option to be able to join our 'Open Studio' sessions at £5 per hour where you can come in on an ad-hoc basis when it suits you! First course commences 15th January, and then the 26th of Feb.
