On Thursday 8th November 2012, ‘15 Years of Headway East London’ are taking over both floors of The Bedroom Bar which includes London’s leading comedy club – The Comedy Café, for a night of guaranteed laughs whilst raising much needed funds for Headway East London. Internationally renowned comedienne, writer and actress Jo Brand has a glittering career spanning three decades. Known for stand up, live tours and of course countless TV appearances, both on entertainment shows and documentaries and with accolades from The Observer to BAFTA, Jo Brand has been Headway East London’s Patron since 1999 so it is fitting she should headline this one off event.

Support comes from the leading emerging luminaries from the country’s comedic talent. In 2004 ‘Astute observational comic’ Sarah Kendall became the first comedienne to be nominated for the Perrier Award in almost a decade, in her hugely anticipated blistering new show for 2012 Sarah’s again pushing the boundaries with her most political show to date. Joining Sarah will be ‘firm favourite’ and ‘brilliant MC David Morgan’ according to London is Funny, which is excellent news considering he is the compere for the evening. Headway East London have also secured the unpretentiously surreal and original, BBC R2 New Comedy Award 2011 Finalist Pat Cahill, who has been called ‘a cross between Sean Lock and Eddie Izzard’ by the Evening Standard and Alife Brown, who The List have termed ‘the future of British stand-up.”
