Acclaimed Spanish Hotel Pops Up in Knightsbridge

From 28th-30th November, Knightsbridge brasserie The Brompton Bar and Grill will be turned into a Southern Spanish paradise with food prepared by the team behind the internationally acclaimed Hotel Trasierra.

Lounging against Spain’s Andalucían hills, Trasierra is a 16th century architectural masterpiece refurbished to the standards of an exclusive hotel and private estate by Charlotte Scott, mother of Jackson Scott (Mano de Dios). It sits amidst acres of stunning unspoilt landscapes, providing breathtaking views that are perfectly complemented by daughter Amber Scott’s hill yoga retreats and massages. The hotel’s famous guests include Kate Moss, Bryan Ferry, Damien Hirst and many more.

The hotel features delicious cuisine by Charlotte’s daughter, Giaconda Scott (“Paradise Kitchen”) who has worked in some of London’s finest restaurants, such as The River Café, Green’s and Richard Caring’s George and is a uniquely talented food writer, chef and traveller. During her three-day residency at The Brompton Bar & Grill, a full lunch and dinner menu will be served upstairs while a tapas bar will occupy the downstairs area.

Starters from the lunch menu will include: Almejas a la Marinara with Clams, Garlic, Parsley and Manzanilla Sherry Sauce, and Roasted Beetroot Salad with Fresh Sierra Morena Goat’s Cheese with Lemon Zest, Wild Thyme, Watercress and Roasted Walnuts. Diners will be delighted with mains including; Shoulder of Slow Roasted Lamb with Romescu Sauce and Crushed Potatoes and Grilled Spatchcocked Quail With Potatoes Ailoli and Green Beans with Lemon Zest and Mint.

The dinner menu will truly showcase the best of Trasierra and will include starters such as Sopa de Picadillo, (a light Chicken Broth infused with Iberico Bone, Fresh Mint Croutons and a Whole Soft Poached Egg), Lamb’s Lettuce Salad and Chargrilled Squid Tentacles with Smoked Paprika. Mains will feature delights such as Grilled Presa Iberica with Spiced Cauliflower and Spanish Chips and Seabass Baked in Salt filled with Pink Pepper Leaves from Trasierra. Diners can round of a sumptuous Spanish feast with perfect puddings including; a Quince and Almond Tart, Clementine Salad and Lavender-infused Dark Chocolate Mousse Torte.

The downstairs tapas bar will serve a selection of the finest ingredients from Southern Spain including Boquerones (Raw Marinated Anchovies), Bacalao and Mint Croquettes, and Salpicon (A form of Ceviche with Octopus, Shrimp, Peppers, Sweet Onion, Tomato and Toasted Cumin Seeds). On the afternoon of the 29th November the bar will be transformed into ‘The Trasierra Shop’ serving jars of their signature marmalade, olives, and hampers created by Charlotte’s son, George Scott’s for his ‘Taste of Spain’ company and already sold at the hotel.

The Brompton Bar & Grill is Knightsbridge’s stylish and local bistro offering superb seasonal cuisine, fine wines and delicious cocktails. Founded by Francois five years ago, it has gone from strength to strength and is the ideal place to eat, drink and enjoy regular live music.
