Southgate Symphony Orchestra is joined by flautist Julie Groves for this French and German programme, which includes Poulenc (orch. Berkeley)'s Flute Concerto and Mozart's Andante in C major (for flute and orchestra). The evening opens with the impressionistic Petite Suite and concludes with Beethoven's Symphony no. 7 with its stirring dance-like rhythms.
