Royal Aeronautical Society Flight Test Lecture

This Royal Aeronautical Society Flight Test Group lecture will see Paul Mulcahy, Senior Test Pilot, CAA, discuss the flight testing of the Beriev Flying Boat.

Paul will outline his several hundred seaplane hours, with his experience spanning some 9 aircraft types and including various microlights and several SEP. It was his association with, and 160+ hours of experience, on the PBY5A Catalina that gained him the responsibility for the Large 42-Ton Russian Beriev Be- 200 certification project which commenced with an application to EASA in late 2005. This lecture will outline that story with its many ups and downs.
