CoolTan Arts Largactyl Shuffle – Peckham Asylums Walk

Join us on a fun, free, guided walk around Southwark!

Start: Maudsley Hospital
Ends: South London Gallery

This walk will lead you through the back streets & green pastures of Camberwell, offering historic insight to mental health services of the Victorian period. Our friendly walk leaders will give talks on the local mental health institutions & asylums that supported the vulnerable in the 19th century.

There will be a short lunch break in a local cafe but please feel free to bring your own packed lunch.

CoolTan Arts Largactyl Shuffle is a guided, stigma-busting cultural walk, designed to encourage mental and physical wellbeing, through art, exercise, humour and history.
The walk is free but voluntary donations will be appreciated. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water. The walk is accessible to wheelchair users and people with disabilities.

The walk leaders wear orange high-viz vests and rucksacks. Call CoolTan Arts on 07985 658443 if you cannot find the group of walkers on the day.
