One lucky guest to find a valuable coin hidden in a Christmas pudding

A real gold sovereign coin will be an early Christmas present for one lucky visitor who orders a traditional plum pudding at The Factory House this festive season.

After a difficult year and with meagre Christmas bonuses reported in the City, The Factory House expects this special plum pudding to be a popular choice.

Whoever orders the lucky dish may keep the valuable sovereign (worth £290) and will also be treated to a complimentary bottle of champagne, courtesy of The Factory House, to toast their fortune.

The 22ct gold sovereign is manufactured by the Royal Mint, weighs 7.99 grams with 7.32 grams of pure gold content.

The Factory House will ensure there will be no way of telling which portion of pudding holds the surprise gift.

The dish will be available at The Factory House subterranean bar and restaurant venue in Leadenhall Market throughout December, priced at £6 per portion. The gold sovereign will be hidden in a portion ordered before Christmas Day, 25th December.
