This year’s Imagine festival is all about the kids taking over! Southbank Centre will be transformed by children for children, as well as hosting the top names in children’s literature, dance, theatre and art. Simon Mayo And Itch The Element Hunter
16th February
Join Simon Mayo, one of Britain's best-loved BBC radio presenters, for the launch of his second children's book 'Itch Rocks'. With live experiments using highly reactive elements on stage, this is guaranteed to be a super-effervescent event.
Dinosaur Petting Zoo
18th - 20th February
Erth's life-like dinosaurs are alive and mostly friendly in this fun, educational and unique performance event for children of all ages that allows you to get up close and personal with an amazing array of creatures from bygone eras. Children of all ages can watch wide-eyed from a safe distance or dare to get right up close to the creatures. It's a petting zoo but not as you know it...
Anthony Horowitz - Oblivion
19th February
From Alex Rider to Sherlock Holmes, 'Foyle's War' to 'Injustice', Anthony Horowitz is one of the world's most celebrated writers for young people as well as adults. At this event, Anthony discusses the inspirations, passions and experiences behind his writing.
The Peter Rabbit Puppet Show
22nd February
Hop along to this charming interactive puppet show where 'The Tale of Peter Rabbit' is brought to life! Help Peter escape from Mr McGregor's garden and set out on his journey.
