Rotron Engines: From Conception Through Development and into Production

The Rotron 294cc is where it all began - first used during Mission Everest, the ultimate test of reliability and performance, this rotary engine powered Gilo Cardozo and TV adventurer Bear Grylls to break all existing paramotor altitude records and to look down on the summit of Mount Everest.

Rotron Aero have been developing rotary aero engines since 2005. Rotary engines offer numerous unique benefits over traditional reciprocating engines like low vibration, incredible power to weight ratios and compact package sizes.

Gilo realised the potential of rotary engines for UAV’s or drones.

Speaker: Gilo Cardozo MBE

This lecture, as will all Society lectures are free to attend and is open to members of the general public as well as Society members. RSVP is welcomed.
