It’s time to dig out those high-legged leotards and leg warmers (the sorting through old clothes in the attic itself could be a bonus new year’s resolution- spring clean - check!) for after gorging all Christmas we are beginning to regret all those mince pies, and what better way to slim down and get fit – than Maggie’s 80s style dance classes!

Teaming up with Lomax Bespoke Fitness, Nutrition & Wellbeing, and launching on Wednesday 23rd January 2013 at 7pm, Maggie’s will provide a weekly 80s Dance Fitness class every week with choreographer and X Factor dancer Chloe Tangney.

Lomax Bespoke Fitness, Nutrition & Wellbeing, have 12 years’ experience at incorporating effortless health into people’s everyday lives, whatever their goals and lifestyle. The Lomax Way, as it is technically known, helps people follow a healthy diet, exercise and relaxation part of their everyday lifestyle without any stress, guilt, or having to break the bank. At Maggie’s, Lomax will ensure that people work up a sweat and tone up with the enjoyment of listening to some of their favourite 80s classics.

The 80s Dance Fitness classes will be taken by professional dancer and choreographer Chloe Tangney. Chloe has gained a wealth of experience having previously danced on television shows, at music award ceremonies and music festivals with some of the world’s most famous music acts. She has danced for the likes of Jessie J, The Saturdays, Lilly Allen, Whitney Houston on shows, such as X Factor, So You Think You Can Dance, T4 on the Beach and the Brit Awards. Her choreography experience includes dance routines for DJ Ironik, Chipmunk and Ronan Parke, and she recently appeared in the hit music video ‘Run the World’ by Beyonce.

Maggie’s is named after 1980s Prime-Minister-turned-icon Maggie Thatcher, club-goers can hear her famous speeches playing in the loos, while Thatcher memorabilia vies for space on the walls along with other iconic 80s images and paraphernalia from A Team action men to A-Ha platinum discs. Maggie's is walking distance from Thatcher’s present home, though whether she chooses to visit remains to be seen! The music is a mixture of classics from the 1980s, and stars from the era play regular DJ sets. The Maggie’s bar tenders are dressed like Tom Cruise in the 80s cult movie, Cocktail, and serve up a range of drinks from Pina Coladas and Daiquiris to Babycham.
