Get February half term off to a flying start with a look at the amazing world of birds. From Saturday 16 to Monday 18 February you’ll encounter magnificent birds of prey such as owls and peregrine falcons close up and find out more about them.

Get creative in our bird art and craft sessions. Throughout the half term week join our special birdwatching walks: we’ll show you how to use binoculars to spot wild birds and how to identify some of the species found here at WWT London Wetland Centre. Our team will help you find out more about their behaviour, habitats, nests and migration. And you can also see birds close up: we have a colourful selection of ducks, geese and swans from around the world in World Wetlands.

The Headley Discovery Hide, newly refurbished with birding beginners in mind, is the perfect spot for getting to grips with binoculars and bird books. You’ll find comfy seating and helpful displays on bird identification in there, along with a camera trained on a bird feeder giving close up views of feathered diners.

From looking at birds close up to finding out how to spot them in the wild, this is a wonderful opportunity for families to get to know our feathered friends. All activities, including the birds of prey, will be moved indoors if it rains. Free with paid admission to the Centre.
