One of Brazil's leading contemporary dance companies explores the four main characters from Pushkin's classic novel, Eugene Onegin. Passion, rejection, lust and love stalk the stage in this physically daring and thrilling production.
Set to an eclectic soundtrack featuring Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky and Prokofiev combined with contemporary music, Tatyana features a striking set and a fifth character, Pushkin himself.
Olivier Award-winner Deborah Colker is a regular visitor to the Barbican and was the first female director to work with Cirque du Soleil, when she created OVO in 2009. Tatyana comes to London following performances at the 2012 Edinburgh International Festival.
'The explosive energy of this daredevil Brazilian choreographer has set contemporary dance ablaze.' The Guardian
