Virgin Active Snorkelling Club for Kids

VIRGIN ACTIVE MAKES A SPLASH WITH LAUNCH OF KIDS’ SNORKEL SCHOOL

Virgin Active, the UKs leading family health club with 114 life guarded swimming pools in the UK, is launching an STA (Swimming Teachers Association) accredited snorkelling club for children (years 8+) this February half term – a first within the health and fitness sector and part of Virgin Active’s ongoing commitment to making fitness fun and getting children active.

The three stage syllabus will see up to ten water-loving kids per session learn skills including working with buddies, underwater communication and safety whilst submerged.

Each class, which lasts for thirty minutes, takes place at Virgin Active clubs nationwide alongside a STA Snorkel CPD (Continued Professional Development) accredited Virgin Active Swim Instructor.

Participants will receive a certificate, badge and mini snorkel kit on completion of these fun filled sessions.

Snorkelling provides a fun, active option for kids during half term, helping them with confidence, team work and a new skill, as well as the obvious health benefits.

Each course runs over five days and there are three levels to suit ability, from beginner to expert. To find out when the next course runs at your local Virgin Active or to book a place, simply call the club directly or speak to someone on the reception desk.

The course is available for members and non-members at 86 Virgin Active Health clubs nationwide from £40 for members and £50 for non-members.
