If you are looking for a top night out in London rubbing shoulders with A lister’s and feeling like a VIP rather than just a face at a cattle market, then Funky Buddha is for you! We love Funky Buddha and go there at least once a month and are always guaranteed to have a fab time. From the moment we step in the door until the last tune we are made to feel special by all the team at Funky Buddha.

Nice club with great vibes.
I went with 7 friends for a birthday party and it was perfect !
better to book a table before (Lux guest list 077 - 7509 - 2749 ) because it's very selective.
Nice party i'll return soon

I am a regular visitor to Funky Buddha whenever I am in London. You can beat this club for a sophisticated but fun night out with that extra special V.I.P. touch. They hold some great theme nights during the week, and weekends can’t be beaten for a superb atmosphere and banging tunes. All in all Funky Buddha is a must for all those who love the London club scene.

What can I say about the longest reigning club in Mayfair? Top music, brilliant service, beautiful people and i've enjoyed some memorable nights here for the best part of a decade! May Funky Buddha live on for many years to come.

Well, this is my second visit to funkybuddha. I always give second chances and it seems the first visit was typical. This place is a magnet for arrogant wannabees (and abees too) including staff, which is nice, because all you have to do is stay away from here to avoid a whole swathe of them.

Very average. High price isn't necessarily classy - they don't even serve good vodka or make a proper martini. Music pleases majority which is good if your with a diverse group. Beware: its full of arrogant 'clientele' with not a lot between their ears and the occasional disagreeable member of s

Beautiful classy venue, perfect for celeb spotting or just partying the night away with your friends. Friendly staff and amazing DJ's. Everyone is really welcoming despite it being one of the hottest westend spots. Perfect place to take somebody if you are looking to impress!

Ignore all the negative reviews on here. I've been to funky buddha many times and i've had nothing short of a brilliant time. The staff are friendly, making sure you have the best night. The club itself is so pretyy. The music is nothing short of amazing, you hear a mixture of the latest club songs and old school songs you've wanted to hear for a while. The fee to get in is well worth it, and quite often ladies are free before a certain time. In summary - VISIT FUNKY BUDDHA!

A group of six of us, including a birthday girl who booked us on a guest list the night before and who also confirmed this the morning after, were rejected and hurried along very rudely after queuing for at least 15 minutes. We had had an awful night of trying to find the place ( cab drivers taking us in the wrong direction) we finally got there at about 10 past 10 and there was quite a long que, we got to the front of the que at about 10.25/10.30 and explained we were on the guest list to a guy with a clipboard, one guy had already started looking at my ID but the clipboard guy told my friend who booked us in that they were not 'taking anymore guestlist' (shouting) and that the place was packed, so we asked how they were still letting others in and would we be able to pay to get in? They said no these are only members and VIP's. Unfortunately we already clocked on to the real reason we were rudely pushed aside without them even looking up our names; we weren't rich or posh looking enough, or weren't the right races, or maybe even both. ( we had one friend with us who had a halloween mask but one of the bouncers had one too so this shouldn't have been the reason ). We found this disgustingly rude and my friend who's birthday it was, was very upset whilst trying to talk to the manager of the club on the phone who she booked with, he confirmed we had booked but said he 'couldn't control the doormen' and would call them and call us back, needless to say we were given a lame excuse when he called back, and we had to leave.

Two of our group members tried to persuade the doormen to let us in but they weren't having any of it. This club makes you feel very unwelcome and you only have to look at the people they let in (only let in pretty girls with black dresses) to know that they are being rude, racist and have a really snobbish attitude. How can a club even have a policy that's so narrow minded!? This should be illegal. They make up stupid excuses so they

This is the first time I've ever come across a club who hasnt let me in. This must be the most shallow club in london because my experience with this place was absolutley disgusting for a multicultural and 'welcoming' city.

THIS PLACE IS THE WORST CLUB I'VE EVER BEEN TO, DO NOT GO HERE. THE STAFF AT THE DOOR ARE RUDE AND PATRONISING, THE BAR IS NOT AMAZING, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE POOR TREATMENT YOU RECEIVE, AND THE MUSIC WASN'T VERY GOOD, THEY PLAYED AT LEAST TWO SONGS TWICE IN THE SPACE OF TWO HOURS. There is no mention on their website under the 'dress code' section that girls are not allowed to wear open toe flat shoes. When we got to the entrance, at least three girls were wearing them and were refused entry. Two hours later I went outside and saw a girl being let in with open toe flat shoes. One of the doormen commented to the door-woman that the girl was allowed in and she muttered and shrugged it off. I have never come across such arrogance. I can't believe these members of staff have the audacity to treat and speak to paying customers in this way. DO NOT GO TO FUNKY BUDDHA, IT IS A RUBBISH CLUB! I SPEAK ON BEHALF OF MYSELF AND AT LEAST TEN OTHER GIRLS: ZERO OUT OF TEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This placed is awful!! We were so looking forward to going here with a small group of girls but one was turned away for not looking perfect and another because she smelt of alcohol - she wasnt even drunk!! When the rest got past the rottweiler door staff we had the pleasure of paying £20 entrance and £12 a drink and there is no where to sit so the VIP area is left empty and the rest of the place is rammed. We were lured there by the promise of celebrities and it being a fashionable upmarket club, but there is zero chance of us returning as it was boring, overpriced and really not a cool place to hang out at all. If you are going out with your girly mates, go somewhere fun where you can dance the night away, have some drinks and laughs - not be made to feel you are living in a constant fashion show being judged by those not worthy of judging you!

Funkybuddha is an absolutely stunning venue. I've been there once and I was truly impressed with the interior design. I personally think this is one of the most beautiful clubs in the city. Staff were quite friendly, and the door security seems quite professional cause the queue was moving quickly so we didn't have to wait outside for a long time. Selection of music was quite good. Great night for me and my mates. Definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great clubbing experience in Mayfair.

15/12/2010I went to Funky Buddha last night 14/12/20210 for my Friend's Birthday. My friend had booked a table there and we arrived before she had as she was the host we were allowed to go in without queuing but could not go to the table yet.
I am a black female and I had my SLR camera with me in a bag, they searched my clutch bag but did not search the bag holding my SLR all I was told by one bouncer is "I don't think you can take that camera downstairs" I replied why not he said let me ask the other bouncer who then said "you can't take that camera down because it is too big" I said ok and then a mixed girl who works on the door holding a clipboard (clipboards give you power) said why don't you put it in you car, I said that's abit long to walk to the car then she said it will be safe in the cloakroom for £2 (sorry I had to laugh considering it cost just under a grand) just I as went to put it in the cloakroom my friend pulled me back and said I shouldn't and that it would be safer in the car, at the same time the bouncer was saying we cant stand there and to move and was shouting so I said "calm down" this got their backs up and they said comments such as "you can tell the type of people these lot are gonna be" and "Look at the time and their already causing trouble" and "if you don't want them in here get them out" so we decided to go back to my car and put the camera away but in this time the mixed raced girl had been radioing the bouncers and telling them not to let us back in. So when we came back she came outside and told another girl on the door to "not let the girl with the red earrings in" then ran back inside! So the other girl said that she could let the party in but I am not allowed in, I really wasn't that desperate to get in so I said ok, but then they said the two others girls I was with cannot come in either. I asked why and that they should let them in but all they said was that this is what they have been told. I was not r

If you are looking to be the next Paris Hilton and you have the snobby attitude to fit the WAG/Celeb/UPurownass then you will fit right in. However if you just wanna have a good time with some friends and be yourself then this place is NOT for you... agree with the others on here bar staff are VERY RUDE. I ended up arguing with the guy who served me my drinks because he tried to charge me a service charge whilst looking at me as if I were a piece of scum. That I am NOT! So yea, for me, my bday eve was ruined by funky buddha.... would not recommend..... the only reason I put 2 stars is coz the interior is very cool especially within the private area....

I’m a member of this club, and i bring friends here now and then, normally on Fridays and Sats. The hostesses are gorgeous and funny, all staff are very welcoming and polite. For those who can’t afford to party here, please do not moan about the prices, the place has its class.

*** do not go to this club ***, I went this evening with a group of friends and within 5 minutes of arriving was thrown out for sending a text message from near the cloak room. The door staff are completely useless and unreasonable (apart from 1 guy outside) and I have ended a good night of drinks at a bar and a lovely dinner at Nobu minus my credit card and jacket. If you want to go to a club that is overratec and has poor door staff then this is the place to go, otherwise stick with better places to go, I would recommend Mahiki, Crystal, Amika, Maddox and many other places. Funky Buddha is best avoided at all costs.

The bouncers are rude and unprofessional. They made up excuse after excuse not to let me in, while I was on the guest list and 8 of my friends were already inside, having paid the £20 cover charge.
You see they are frustrated the kind of people who abuse their right of decision to waste people's nights out.

The only thing I didnt do right: I followed my friends through the open red cord (open by one of the bouncers) after they had come out to greet me. When the bouncers called me I came back to them without any rebellion and they told me to leave because I was drunk (I had had two beers)...
There was no queue at all either (at 11.30pm, wow this place really is popular!!!!

This club has the rudest doormen and staff I have ever seen anywhere.
Stay away and don't risk being embarrassed in front of your friends and other guests. Terrible terrible experience I had with the doorman in charge. I won't being going their ever again.
