Black Sheep Bar

Black Sheep Bar is like the light at the end of the tunnel – it’s (grim) Croydon’s only alternative bar/club. They have different nights, Wednesdays is Gay night for example, Thursdays it’s rock, Tuesdays it’s ‘Common People’ (indie) – I DO recommend the club, especially if you live locally. Bouncers and the bar staff in particular are a very special lot – extremely outgoing and friendly and sometimes they join you on the dance floor just for a laugh. When I used to live in the area, I went there every Friday – Fridays are now called WTF, but everything’s just as it used to be back then : DJ Zoe Urchin plays indie, electro and alternative tunes, the people are there to party, the atmosphere is great and, as said earlier, the people that work behind the bar always seem to have the best time of their lives which also adds to the good vibe of the place.
