Headmasters from Clapham are not too bad. They are local, dry my hair quite nicely each time I go in and it looks better than my own 'home done' attempts. Keeping to time is not their strong point and I have been left sitting for half an hour with wet hair whilst they finish off other customers, but they are polite, friendly and look after you whilst you wait. If I were to grade the experience it would be 5 to 5.5 out of 10 and I am always quite happy with the result.
However, when I compare this with SE1 salon in Bermondsey Street there is absolutely no comparison to quality and customer care. My usual stylist, Rob, from SE1, takes so much more time, care and attention over my hair and when I leave there I always feel like I have had a million dollar transformation with just a blow dry (and it is £5 cheaper than Headmasters).
Travelling to SE1 from home is further, but worth the effort. Headmasters are okay and do a reasonable job, but they have some way to go before being a top class salon.

Unfortunatley I didnt have a great experience, whilst the Salon is pretty funky and drinks are on offer and the person cutting my hair very nice the quality of the actual hair cut left much to be desired. I paid £35 for a gents wash and cut and was in and out within 20 minutes, I would expect a little more time, lets face it takes more than 20 minutes to get a decent wash and style! Tthere was little care and attention and the whole experience was very rushed.
Headmasters seems to put a lot of work into their external image but not so much effort into the actually quality of the hair cut, I saw one memeber of staff who could possibly have the experience to be called senior, along with a vast majority of the staff my 'senior' stylist looked to be a few years out of college! Not too sure how that could be considered experienced enough to have the tag of 'senior'.
Overall Headmasters Clapham seems on the surface a premium hair salon, dig a little deeper and you realise the quality is more akin to a back street barbers.
