I visited the souvenir shop on January 10, 2024 and was very surprised when I saw that the icons of the Orthodox Church - the Trinity of Andrei Rublev and the icon of the Vladimir Mother of God - were presented as souvenirs of the Catholic Church. These icons are well known in the Orthodox world and are much loved. Unfortunately, I did not ask any questions about this, as I was in a hurry to visit the tower with a wonderful view of central London. Nevertheless, this fact haunted me during my two-week visit to London. But by studying the culture, history and religion of middle England, I came to the following conclusions. The Catholic Church in England suffered a terrible catastrophe during the Reformation, when monasteries, cathedrals, icons, paintings were destroyed and priests were executed. It seems that the Catholic Church of England is still in a state of reanimation, it cannot become the same and therefore has found a way out through a return to the origins of the Byzantine Christian Church (before the great schism). And it is well known that the bearer of Byzantine traditions is the Russian Orthodox Church.
I'm right?
