| About Duck Pond Market: | The Duck Pond Market in Ruislip began in 2008, and has now grown to over 100 stalls selling antiques, farm food and hand crafted goods. The Great Barn, where the market is located, is a heritage conservation site and Grade II listed building. The market takes place every third Sunday of the month from 10 am to 3 pm, and organisers have tried to add a festival atmosphere to the proceedings by incorporating live music, face painting and other children’s activities as well as a petting zoo. The food stalls source their food from local and ethical providers (a farmer’s food market also takes place on the site) and you can usually find freshly baked break and a barbecue. Parking is free and there are bicycle racks for cyclists. Other Duck Pond markets are located in Richmond, Iver and Watford, the aim being to give local producers and small businesses the chance to get together. |
