A sad weekend indeed... one of those where you just can't quite believe all this is happening. I wonder if Amy would always have been this way or if it was the fame and celebrity that did it to her. Whatever the case, I really do feel sorry for her and her family RIP :(

I don't think she would have been such an addict if she wasn't famous. Like MJ, she probably had a lot of 'yes' people around her. But at the end of the day, it's her body and her own mind. She did it to herself.

With all due respect though, where is the thread for the tens of innocent people who died in Oslo?! That, to me, is more important.

Aha was waiting for that. One death is more imortant than another thing. Jesus, it's all human life. The woman was 27 and wrecked herself. You can be heartless and say she deserved it or you can say that it's a shame. I know people killing themselve with drugs and I can say I feel the latter.

Obviously Norway is a terrible tragedy and bewilderingly horrific. It's hard to grasp and even comment on it other than say 'Wow - what the f*ck?! how horrible', because what can you say?! It must have been a nightmare for those kids.

It is perfectly viable to have feelings about both situations, which are both different and one doesn't have to 'out-do' the other and be the main subject of conversation.
