Streatham Hill Guide
Your All In London guide to Streatham Hill

During the 18th century, the main route to Croydon and East Grinstead ran across Streatham Hill and this has become the modern A23 which runs the whole way to Brighton.
In the earlier part of the 20th century, Streatham was an entertainment hot spot and soon became one of the most popular retail areas in London. This declined towards the end of the 20th century but is now gathering more support and is on the up once again.
