More At The Hall: Classical Coffee Mornings
We have collaborated with our neighbours at the Royal College of Music for this exciting series of concerts. Classical Coffee Mornings give you the chance to listen to outstanding talent from the College at Sunday morning classical recitals in the Hall's Elgar Room.
Brigid Coleridge is an Australian violinist currently undertaking an Artist Diploma at the Royal College of Music as a student of Maciej Rakowski. She completed her Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Music at the University of Melbourne in June 2011.
Brigid was Concertmaster of the Australian Youth Orchestra for both 2009 and 2010 seasons; the latter included the Orchestra’s 50th anniversary international tour to China and Europe, under the baton of Sir Mark Elder and featured a BBC televised performance at the BBC Proms. Brigid is a Parnassus Scholar supported by a Leverhulme Postgraduate Studentship, as well as the recipient of the Welsford Smithers Travelling Scholarship from the University of Melbourne, and an Ian Potter Cultural Trust Award. In London she was awarded the Australian Music Foundation’s 2011 Guy Parsons Award, and has been invited on two occasions to perform at Buckingham Palace.
