A lost village, star-crossed lovers, mysterious wolves and the extraordinary story of a community trying to save what is most precious to them before it is lost forever.
Written especially for Wilton’s by multi-award-winning artist Julian Garner and custom-designed around the eccentricities of our special building, Father Nandru & The Wolves is a captivating folk tale, based on a true story and narrated in verse. This heart-warming show, staged on Wilton’s most challenging and unusual set to date, will entrance audiences with its dream-like qualities and present a visual spectacle using larger than life puppets and some impressive feats of engineering.
We will conjure up the spirit of Transylvania and the atmosphere of village life throughout the entire building. Eastern European themed food and drink will be on sale and there will be late-night, post-show live Gypsy bands every Friday and Saturday. Father Nandru & The Wolves will be a show and an all-round experience for everyone from the age of eight to a hundred and eight and a magical start to the next leg of Wilton's journey.
