With an Autumnal spring in our stride Movimientos presents another trailblazing line up of delights from the global Latin underground! This time around heavyweight Afrobeat with Cuban and Brazilian influences from the majestic Kalakuta Millionaires, Swinging Flamenco, gypsy and latin from Gypsy Butter and Latin Funk and rock with Afro-Venezuelan influences from Baldo Verdu and Tonto Malembe. Whilst on the decks DJ Eko flies in direct from NY to drop a fresh tropical selection of anything from Cumbia to Dancehall, Salsa and Afro-bass.

KALAKUTA MILLIONAIRES
Taking the listener on a musical journey which references jazz, funk, soul and world music. A heavy underbelly of rhythm and bass underpins a horn section blistering with soul, whilst jazz-drenched guitar riffs merge seamlessly into highlife and funk.

Following live recordings for Mark Lamarr at BBC Maida Vale studios, the band has performed to thousands, headlining stages at Glastonbury Festival, Latitude Festival, Secret Garden Party, Waterford Spraoi, Sunrise Festival and many more.

GYPSY BUTTER
Gypsy Butter are an eclectic mix of flamenco, jazz, Latin, and gypsy music with upbeat and contagious rhythms that are guaranteed to get the crowd jumping. Expect powerful sax and driving guitar riffs complemented by whimsical vocals, accordion, and big Cuban bass lines.

BALDO VERDU Y SU TONTO MALEMBE
Baldo Verdú y su Tonto Malembe is a Latin-Fusion Quartet recently formed in London, UK. The band, leaded by its guitarist and singer Baldo Verdú, explores the sounds of Rock music in combination with Latin American genres such as Cumbia, Guaracha, Tambor and Latin Funk; as the result of a life-long experience among these music expressions.

DJ EKO (PALETA / NYC)
DJ EKO is a global sound ambassador with a grasp for cutting edge. Consistently acknowledged as an "ahead-of-the-curve" tastemaker and music journalist [now, a staff writer for Okayfuture, the electronic branch in Questlove's Okayplayer kingdom].
