TSA were formed as an instrumental quartet in 1979 in Opole, Poland. Two years later TSA were chosen to perform at an Alternative Music Festival in Jarocin. Soon after, Marek Piekarczyk joined Marek Kapłon, Stefan Machel, Janusz Niekrasz, Andrzej Nowak and the TSA star was born! They played several hundred shows a year, not just in Poland, but also France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Luxemburg, Czechoslovakia and The Soviet Union! In Western Europe, their albums “Skunk” and “Heavy Metal World” sold very well!

In 1987-1989 TSA starred in the Polish version of the Rock-Opera, “Jesus Christ Superstar”. Then the band suspended its activities.
2001 was the year of the great come back! TSA quickly reclaimed its position in the marketplace! Their next album, “Proceder” (2004), was a BIG seller, and for which they won The Best Album of the Year Award! New technologies allowed TSA to re-issue their old albums and concerts on CD, all of which have sold VERY well! Since that time the band have undertaken many tours in the US, Canada, Czech Republic and Poland!

In recent years, TSA have also won many awards from prestigious festivals, influential magazines and radio stations in Poland! These awards show that TSA’s return was VERY welcome! They even managed to win the hearts of teenagers, many of whom now share this passion for the band with their parents, TSA’s first audience!
