The Independent Filmmaker's Ball

The Independent Filmmaker’s Ball, the fundraising gala for the Independent Film Trust presented by Raindance, will be back in London at the Café de Paris on the night of the 29th April, 2015.

A celebration of independent films and filmmakers, the Ball will feature music from London’s best swing band, ‘Natty Congeroo & the Flames of Rhythm’, drinks, outstanding talent from the world of indie film and a raffle with top-of-the-line filmmaking prizes. It’s a fantastic opportunity to network, have a great time and support an important charity. Raindance and IFT Patrons’ and Trustees’ appearances (TBC) include Terry Gilliam, Ewan McGregor and Helen Mirren.

The Independent Filmmaker’s Ball features a raffle with prizes donated from leading filmmaking companies and organisations. All proceeds from the raffle go to Raindance’s charity arm, the Independent Film Trust, which helps disadvantaged children and adults break in to filmmaking. Special guests last year included NFTS Director and Virgin Group co-founder Nik Powell, film critic Derek Malcolm, documentary filmmaker Nick Broomfield and actors Sadie Frost, Helen George, Tamer Hassan and Gerard McCarthy, amongst many others
