Get the inside story behind classic albums with Strongroom Presents – Behind The Tracks. Tying in with their July 4th appearance at Wembley Stadium, we are kicking this series off with AC/DC – ‘Back In Black’.

Engineered by Strongroom resident Tony Platt and produced by the inimitable “Mutt” Lange, Back In Black is now the biggest-selling rock album of all-time, with nearly 50 million sales. Sonically, it was also the album that became the benchmark for all rock recordings. Tony was there for every wall-shaking moment of the album’s conception. Hear his inside stories and prepare to be amazed.

We are also pleased to announce that this informal Q&A session will be hosted by another major figure in the world of rock music – Mick Wall. Mick was the star writer of Kerrang! and the founding editor of Classic Rock, and is the presenter-producer-writer behind award-winning programmes for Capital Radio, Planet Rock and BBC4, as well as the author of definitive biographies of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Doors and AC/DC, about who he wrote ‘Hell Ain’t A Bad Place To Be’ – an insider account of their career from the crazy ‘70s to the zillionaire present.

Tony and Mick will trace the making of the album; from its predecessor ‘Highway to Hell’ to the tensions surrounding the recording sessions in the Bahamas following on from lead singer Bon Scott’s untimely death, to its ultimate redemption as one of the corner stones of modern rock history. Following the Q&A session, there will be a screening of the classic AC/DC concert documentary ‘Let There Be Rock’.

Ticket price includes: entry to the album talk, album playback and film screening, complimentary drink courtesy of Jack Daniels & complimentary snacks. The first 50 tickets purchased will receive a complimentary signed copy of Mick’s book ‘Hell Ain’t A Bad Place To Be’.
