Klezmer in the Park 2015

Come on down for a fun-packed afternoon for all the family in one of London’s most beautiful parks.
This much loved celebration of Jewish music which has become the cultural cornerstone of Jewish culture in London is in its seventh year and once again features a line-up of world class musicians and dance leaders.

Bands

Don Kipper, an award-winning innovative ensemble, plays and transforms a wide range of traditional musical forms, from Turkish Fasıl and Greek Rebetiko to Gypsy Jazz and Klezmer

Stewart Curtis’ K-Groove is a unique band which takes an entirely fresh approach to World Jazz through Stewart Curtis' writing, fusing Klezmer & Arabic melodies with modern dance grooves.
European festival favourites, The Turbans return to Klezmer in the Park featuring a collective of master-fusionists with their toe-tapping mix of Balkan, klezmer and North-African tunes.

UK’s finest klezmer and Balkan band, She’Koyokh! return to Klezmer in the Park where they’ll play the rich folk music of Eastern Europe, Turkey and the Balkans.

Tantz hail from Leeds and will be bringing their mix of power-klezmer with dub, hip-hop and Balkan beats to a London audience ready to dance, fast.

JMI’s hugely successful ‘Kids Zone’ which includes a marquee dedicated solely to entertaining children, returns with a host of fabulously creative crafting activities designed for the festival by specialists in their fields. Kids can make their own clay klezmer instruments, musical mobiles, funky badges and much more.
