The strains of jazz, swing and stride spill from every bar and fill the airwaves of Chicago. It’s 1936 and confidence trickster Johnny Hooker is set on revenge for the murder of his friend, Luther, by powerful and dangerous mobster, Doyle Lonnegan. Teaming up with the greatest con artist of them all, Henry Gondorff, together they plot to pull off The Sting, an outrageous and elaborate con trick designed to rob Lonnegan of his fortune. With a charismatic cast to lure you into this sleazy, sharp-suited underworld of con men and scams, with twists and surprises at every turn, you won't know who's on the level and who's on the take as you watch this ingenious and comic tale of deception unfold.

This brand new adaptation, based on the successful 1973 film of the same title, will be in celebration of the end of Wilton's Capital Project. Directed by Peter Joucla, it follows in the footsteps of the sell-out success The Great Gatsby in 2012 and 2013.

A full length play by David Rogers
Based upon the screenplay “The Sting” by David Ward
