Time Pieces: Double Bill by Deborah Pearson

A Double Bill including Like You Were Before and The Future Show. Deborah Pearson, award winning performer, playwright, founder and co-director of Forest Fringe, remains unhealthily fixated on the passage of time.


Like You Were Before uses old video footage to explore the gap between the person Deborah Pearson was in 2005 before she left her native Canada, and the person she is now. We watch as she attempts (unsuccessfully) to re-insert herself into the frame, creating a show that laments the fact that time keeps going. This is a show about moving forwards, backwards. The Future Show is a simple, honest and personal monologue told completely in future tense as Deborah attempts to unravel the promise and anxiety of what could lie ahead.
